Over the course of his multi-platinum career, Chris Janson has secured his place in country music as its everyday common man, lacing an unbridled confidence into the descriptive picture of who he is on songs such as “Fix A Drink,” “Waitin’ On 5,” “Buy Me A Boat,” and his recent chart climber, “Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get.”

He now continues firmly displaying those signature characteristics on his newest release, “All American Guy.”

Although not a scheduled release on the books, the overwhelming support from his exuberant fan base encouraged the song to hit streaming services just in time for Flag Day and the 4^th of July.

Wrapped in his ultra-familiar style, the addictively catchy melody leans into his country charmed, southern rock aura to keep you grooving along as he tallies descriptives of all that makes him an “All American Guy,” hitting the right chord with country music fans through several checkmarks that not only define who he is at his core but also places a bright spotlight on who they similarly are at theirs.

Through each of the verses he enthusiastically sings a checklist of the simple, down-home things that he loves the most, from seeing Earnhardt grab a checkered flag win to good bass fishing, huntin’ deer, handshake deals, a Waffle House ®date, and Jesus.

However, tucked underneath those surface layers, he also skillfully slides plenty of depth into the in-between lines as he boldly stamps his beliefs, singing poignantly about his love for the country and the flag while offering an unapologetic, thank you salute to the brave men and women of our military and those who wear the blue. 

Like the verses, the chorus continues presenting a list of down-home loves while offering a tip of the Bass Pro cap to the music that shaped him, namechecking Alan Jackson, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, and the Marshall Tucker Band.

Chris Janson is one of those artists that knows exactly who he is, wears his country spirit proudly on his sleeve, and consistently delivers memorable anthems straight to the good ole country folks who are just like him.
