GRAHAM BARHAM - Whiskey Whiskey - Sony Music Nashville/Disrupter Records
Ever since debuting his single, “Preachers Need People,” in 2022, Graham Barham has been turning heads and impressing fans, media, and critics alike with his consistently successful releases. Flash forward two years later, and he is no-doubt a rising star in country music. The Louisiana native has just released a brand-new track, titled “Whiskey Whiskey” via Sony Music Nashville / Disrupter Records.
Written by Barham along with Gabe Foust, Jacob Hackworth, and Summer Overstreet, the tune is a bass-heavy effort that showcase Graham’s trademark rigidly-crooning vocals alongside a simple, steady pop-influenced beat.
“Whiskey Whiskey” is about going through a really bad breakup and only being able to cope with it by forgetting with the help of some whiskey,” Graham shared.
This is a modern country song to its core, incorporating minor elements of other genres, all arriving at the central home of southern pop twang. With a small but growing collection of songs under his belt to date, Barham has already established his signature style, which has proven to be easy on the ears and thought-provoking to the mind.
“So whiskey, whiskey, get me drunk
Hit me like some kinda drug
Fix me, fix me for the night
Take my mind and make it numb
Yeah, turn my world to black
Like that No. 7 Jack
‘Cause she don’t miss me, miss me
Tonight I’m countin’ on you, whiskey, whiskey”
Barham is no-doubt a talent with sound of an emerging artist on the rise, and this new tune perfectly illustrates his star potential. Lyrically, this is a creative, simply relatable track of which fans of all ages can enjoy and to which we can relate, with Graham’s vocals crooning through the heartbreak anthem.
The release of “Whiskey Whiskey” comes as his most recent effort, “Straight To My Heart” featuring Lauren Watkins, has been garnering rave reviews from critics and media everywhere.
Previous releases “Bayou Boy” and “LIGHT’S ON NOBODY’S HOME” served as Barham’s first pair of singles on the Sony Music Nashville label, while other top-notch tracks like “Beer By My Bed,” “Two Broken Hearts” and “Break It In A Bar” have collectively contributed to his building reputation as an intuitive songwriter and his impressive vocal bravado.
Fresh off an incredibly impressive and successful string of appearances at CMA Fest in Nashville, Barham is set to hit the road this summer, playing some of the biggest festivals across the country while also being a special guest on Dierks Bentley’s nationwide run into the fall.
