RAELYNN - "FunnyGirl" - Daisy Rae Productions
Two-time ACM New Female Vocalist nominee Raelynn continues to build anticipation as she prepares for her upcoming full-length album release. And while the due date for that new record is still forthcoming, the talented songstress continues to give us all a sneak peak at what we can expect from this latest chapter in her career.
Her latest tune, “Funny Girl,” is available now both digitally and on all streaming platforms via Diasy Rae Productions.
“I’ve said it once and I’ll continue to say it, country music fans are the best,” Raelynn said. “I am so excited to release ‘Funny Girl’ and be out on the road again. This song is a love letter to my younger self and a reminder to listeners that you can be so much more than the performative ‘funny girl’”.
This is cleverly-penned tune, one that lends itself effortlessly to its singer’s strengths, which is incorporating her down-to-earth charm with a music sophistication and undeniable talent to impact the listener long after the track’s conclusion.
“But you’re sweeter, hell, you’re tougher
Take it from me, you’ll be a good mother
And you’ll find a man and, man, you’ll rock his world
Life ain’t mean, it’s just funny, girl”
Whereas she excels at fun-loving, high-spirited tunes that celebrate the fun and unpredictability of life through light-hearted sing-along anthems, Raelynn is taking her musicianship to a career-altering level with the emotionally-invigorating tracks that make the listener think, feel, and care. It is no easy feat to be both the cute, fun country party girl and also a well-respected, highly talented singer-songwriter, but Raelynn has achieved that status as she continues to add to her incredibly-impressive music catalogue.
“Funny Girl” follows the 2023 tracks “It’s Happening Right Here,” “Broken One,” “Somebody Else,” and “What’s Wrong With That” as a collective preview of what we may be able to expect from a new record.
With over 2.5 million followers across her online platforms, Raelynn has amassed over one billion total career streams, including those of the Gold-certified “Love Triangle” and “Lonely Call” as well as the platinum-certified “God Made Girls”. With headlining dates scheduled on her Funny Girl Tour as well as the recently-announced support dates on Kane Brown’s stadium tour, and with a promise of a new project in the near future, 2024 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years of her career.
