Dierks Bentley certainly needs no introduction at this point in his career. He’s been one of country music’s most consistent artists since bursting onto the scene in 2003 with “What Was I Thinkin’,” and he continues to be one of country music’s most sought after as is indicated by his last single “Gone” climbing all the way up to the #2 position on the Mediabase Country Airplay chart.

Bentley now teams up with Breland and Hardy for “Beers on Me,” the first song that offers us a glimpse into his yet to be named next album.

The song’s groove heavy melody instantly catches your ear and drags you into the proper relaxed frame of mind that you need to be in as the lyrics challenge you to forget whatever problems you’re facing during this open invite from Bentley (and company) to come on down to the local bar and have a beer with your friends.

Bentley confesses in the opening line, “Everybody’s got a problem, so do I,” before pulling you to the chorus on the back of a line that sings, “I’ll save you a seat,” and then unraveling his challenge to “come on down” and let go of whatever it is that you’re dealing with – and oh yeah, cause this round is on him!

HARDY takes over the lead vocal duties on the second verse and pulls us through a short list of reasons why you need that beer that he’s buying - from your girl not loving you anymore, to just being short on cash.

There are some great additional touches that caught my ear and make this song stand-out:

1) The gang styled punches in the second verse that highlight the words “cheers” and “beers” helps to wrap this song around you like a warm embrace from your personal local establishment and your bar friends.

2) The listing of the different beers on the outro gives this a personal touch and strong connection to the listener: Bud, Busch Light, Miller, Blue Moon, and Red Stripe.

This song is light-hearted and so much fun that you can’t help but listen to it on repeat, and that’s exactly why this good times/good friends/cold drinks/local beer joint tune will quickly rocket up the charts and earn Bentley another strong showing as to why he is one of country music’s most reliable male vocalists.
