LARRY FLEET - Things I Take For Granted - Big Loud Records

Tennessee native and crooning troubadour Larry Fleet released his illustriously inspirational third album, ‘Earned It,’ in September 2023.  The unprecedented 21-song collection garnered well-deserved praise amongst artists, media, and critics alike for its themes of resilience and perseverance while tackling the trials, tribulations, and successes of the blue-collar way of life.

Of the many standout tracks on the record, there is one that immediately separated itself from the rest, shining a little brighter with its down-to-earth relatability, centering around the important things in our everyday lives.  “Things I Take For Granted” is available everywhere digitally and on all streaming platforms, and is set to impact country radio on March 18th via Big Loud Records.

Written by Fleet along with Rocky Block, Jordan Dozzi, and Brett Tyler, the record’s fifth track and next official single will draw immediate comparisons to Montgomery Gentry’s hit “Lucky Man” from 2006.  The tune oozes with traditional country vibes as the acoustic intro glides through the opening verse, eluding the everyday trials of a typical work day before indulging into his blessings through a mid-tempo ballad headlined by the strong vocals and simple, sing-along lyrics.

 “I’m still living and breathing

I love the job I’m leaving

And I just hit three green lights in a row on my way home

And I’ve got a family that loves me

Someone looking out up above me

And I’ve still got some blue skies left to go

I’m the Webster definition of what a lucky man is

When I take a look at all the things I take for granted”

In a genre that is, at times, a melting pot of influences from other music varieties across the spectrum, Fleet is an unapologetic country music traditionalist to his core.  His songs are about his way of life growing up and how he views the world, offering a refreshing take from a modern state of mind with old-fashioned values.  Much like all of his music, the songs on ‘Earned It,’ and as most notably exemplified on “Things I Take For Granted,” truly represent who Larry is as a person and where he is in his life.

“I’m growing, I’m getting older.  We all are,” Fleet said.  “But I’m here now and I’m really loving where I’m at.  I’m blessed and happy with my life.”

Fleet is currently in the middle of his 21-date headlining The Earned It Tour, which is hitting markets across the country with special guests Austin Williams, Dalton Dover, and Everette on select dates.  Following the conclusion of that run in mid April, Larry will be on the road throughout the rest of the spring and summer, playing festivals as well as opening for some of the biggest names in the genre, including Luke Bryan on his Mind of A Country Boy Tour which stretches into the fall.
