KARLEY SCOTT COLLINS - Marlboro Reds - Sony Music Nashville

While Karley Scott Collins had a breakout year in 2023, she’s set to take things to new heights in 2024.  The Lake City, FL native was recently named to CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2024, is set to make her European debut at the C2C Festival, and is releasing a brand-new single.  “Marlboro Reds” is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms via Sony Music Nashville.

Quickly becoming known for her rare combination of a powerhouse vocal delivery and her soulful, gritty musical approach, Karley invites the listener into her personal life a bit with this swooning, crooning rocker that shines a light on the wisdom she was taught from someone near and dear to her heart.

“Growing up, when Nana would take a smoke break, we’d sit together and she’d tell me all about her life,” said Collins.  “Sitting next to Nana is one of my favorite places to be in the world.  I hope when people hear this one, they feel like they’re right there with me, Nana, and her Marlboro Reds.”

Written by Collins along with Alex Kline and Scott Stepakoff, the tune tells the tales of life lessons learned and taught, throwing a smoldering, aggressively catchy melody.

“One day everybody’s gonna wind up dead

Between a heartbreak and a hard place, get pretty good at cheating death

I lose another lover and I just light up another and it ain’t killed me yet

So good luck to the Marlboro Reds”

Having formerly introduced herself on tour with Nate Smith, Collins is putting together a strong team of some of the best agencies behind her as she continues to strive and excel to the next level of her career.  After touring with Larry Fleet throughout last fall, she is set to open for legend Willie Nelson on select dates in February.

“Marlboro Reds” follows recent single “Heavy Metal.”  Previously, she had garnered the industry’s attention with her 2022 singles “Better Strangers”, “Tattoos”, and “Heavenly”.  Since her move to Nashville, she has worked with some of the best songwriters in town as she continues to hone her craft and take her career to the next level.  With the look, sound and talent that checks every box, Karley is undeniably one of the bright new faces to watch in country music.
