SCOTTY MCCREERY - Can't Pass The Bar - Triple Tigers

Country music star Scotty McCreery is set to kick off his Cab in a Solo headlining tour later this month.  Joined by Anne Wilson as direct support as well as Greylan James and Noah Hicks on select dates, the Live Nation produced-trek will hit the biggest markets across the country through the winter and beyond.

And to celebrate the new year and the upcoming nationwide run, Scotty is releasing a new honkytonk rocker that is sure to kick things into high gear.  “Can’t Pass The Bar” is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now via Triple Tigers.

From the onset, this is a fun, rocking sing-along song for the country traditionalists.  Flashing resemblances to the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Scotty takes charge quickly from the first line of the opening verse, delivering his signature vocal style with the assurance and confidence we have come to expect from the North Carolina native.  The lyrics are quick, clever, and calculated, encouraging the listener to attempt to sing along while bobbing heads and tapping toes.

“When the long week’s paychecks are cashed

Where we gonna spend it, buddy you ain’t gotta ask

When the neon lights are kicking on, all of us are heading

TO a home away from home

We don’t look like much but we’re pretty damn smart

For some good ole boys that’s can’t pass the bar”

Written by McCreery along with Brent Anderson, Cale Dodds, and Frank Rogers, the “working man” anthem takes listeners back to traditional style of country music, one that Scotty has loved since he was a child and still adores to this day.

“I grew up loving ‘90s country music, especially the barn-burning songs.  I wanted one of my own, so I got together with some of my buddies and we wrote it,” McCreery said.  “Can’t wait to perform this song live on the Cab in a Solo Tour.”

As McCreery embarks on a new tour to begin the new year, it follows a huge 2023, one that saw him tally the most first-week adds at country radio of his career for his current single “Cab In A Solo”.  He was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame, and was also invited by the one and only Garth Brooks to join the Grand Ole Opry.  “Cab In a Solo” is currently in the Top 20 on both Mediabase and Billboard, as the crooning hitmaker looks poised to take his career to even higher levels in 2024.
