After officially introducing herself to the wider mainstream country music audience in 2023, New Braunfels, TX native Catie Offerman is releasing her first new material of the new year.  “Sound Of Missing You” is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms via MCA Nashville.

Offerman has already put herself in elite company, as her blend of modern musicianship and traditional sound represents a fresh new take on the most popular genre in the music industry.  Her new tune embarks on a tour through the mind and heart of a woman’s heartbreak as she copes with the end of a relationship. 

The vibe of the musical arrangement sets the mood for a lonely, swooning tale of sadness and vulnerability, while the lyrics speak openly, clearly, and cleverly about the moments she experiences out on the town after a breakup.

Written by Offerman along with Justin Ebach and Josh Thompson, “Sound Of Missing You” is a candidly sophisticated approach to tell the story of heartbreak, and one that originated from a rather unusual discussion.

“The truth is that not every honky tonk memory is a happy one,” Catie said.  “I remember distinctly the day we wrote it and Justin telling me he had this idea inspired by his dog, Gnocchi.  His dog would whine for him and his wife, Jeanine, said, ‘that’s the sound of him missing you,’ which of course is an amazing song title!”

Ever since graduating from Berkeley College of Music at 19 years old, Catie has been generating buzz throughout the underground Nashville community.  After signing her record deal with UMG in 2020, she has not looked back, garnering the attention and respect of fans and critics alike.  In 2023, she was named Pandora Country’s Artists to Wach as well as one of CMT”s Next Women of Country, while releasing widely renowned singles including “OK Cowboy”, “Ask Me To Dance” (featuring Hayes Carll), and “I Just Killed A Man”.

Catie currently has dates scattered across the country, from headlining gigs to opening slots on some of the biggest stages in the largest markets.  The country starlet and soon-to-be household name is looking to build off of 2023 and make this year the biggest of her career thus far.
