GEORGIA WEBSTER - Attention - River House Artists/Sony Music Nashville

Hampden, MA native Georgia Webster is turning the page on career-changing 2023 and is setting her sights on even greater accomplishments in 2024 with the release of a new song in anticipation of an upcoming tour.  “Attention” is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now via Sony Music Nashville / River House Artists.

Written by Emily Weisband, Laura Veltz, and Sam Ellis, this is a song about sadness, self-assurance, and vulnerability.  Simply put, “Attention” tells the tale of someone who is heartbroken after the end of a relationship who is now wondering what she has to do to capture someone’s attention.  It’s an emotionally-tragic account of the toll a breakup can have and the effects it can have on one’s self-esteem, confidence, an overall happiness.

Musically, the tune falls perfectly within the confines of Webster’s genre-blending catalogue, and the poetic lyrics are delivered beautifully and flawlessly through the emotion-infused residence of personability and relatability.

“If I crashed my car

If I broke my arm

Got bit by a shark

Would you care then?

If my heart gave out

If my house burned down

Baby, do I have to fly halfway to Heaven

Just to get your attention?”

In such a short amount of time, this illustriously talented songstress has garnered the praise and respect from singers and songwriters in the industry, with her invocative and creative approach to musical storytelling, showcasing talent and ability well beyond her years.

So, when a new song is released, one would expect Georgia to have a hand in co-writing it as it has become such a prominent aspect of her musical journey.  That was not the case with “Attention”, which serves as the first release she did not write.  And while it goes against the grain of everything she has believed as an artist and with songwriting being a core part of her musical identity, the decision to record and release this was an easy one.

“It’s rare that a song leaves me with full body chills and that’s exactly what ‘Attention’ did to me,” Georgia shared.  “I hope people connect with this song as much as I do.”

The incredibly talented songstress introduced herself to the wider country-pop audience in 2023 appearing as support on Kelsea Ballerini’s HEARTFIRST TOUR.  Georgia is gearing up to show fans another side of her musical repertoire as she will embark on her acoustic TOWN TALKS TOUR, kicking off later this month.
