LANDON PARKER - Goodbye You - Bad Ass Records

Yadkinville, NC native, TCM Class of 2022 artist and Country Evolution’s 2023 Artist to Watch Landon Parker continues to expand his impressive musical catalogue with the release of his latest single.  “Goodbye You” is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now via Bad Ass Records.

In a day and age when it is increasingly difficult to distinguish oneself from the rest of the crowd in a convoluted music industry, Parker continues to showcase new elements of his singing and songwriting maturity and flexibility.

“Goodbye You” is a breakup tune to its core, telling the tale of a country crooner mourning the end of a relationship and where and how he tries to cope with the pain and heartbreak.

The lyrics are down to earth, relatable, and sophisticatedly simple, relating to the listener on a real, personal level.  The words and accompanying sorrow vibe perfectly illustrate the emotion felt during the song’s inception and throughout its creation.

“You can find me in a Sunday mornin’ sermon

You know I sent a couple prayers your way

And I thank God for his time, but I’m still hurtin’

So here’s where I send up at the end of the day”

“Goodbye You” encapsulates the elements of Landon’s music as a whole, showcasing his quickly becoming trademark southern sound along with his deep voice and lyrically-descripted small-town roots.  A blue-collar songwriter whose music often celebrates the good things in life that would find a home at any honky-tonk bar, Parker deviates a bit with his latest release, and the final result is utterly impressive, opening a new door to expectations the country music world should have for this talented musician.

If ever a label name was fitting for an artist’s personality and music catalogue, it would be the relationship between Bad Ass Records and Landon Parker.  His songs are sophisticated, professionally written and produced, and each release continues to surpass its predecessor in quality and notoriety.

Parker first made a name for himself on the country music spectrum with a string of high-quality releases including “Caught Me At A Good Time,” “Good Beer Drinkin’,” and “Up For Anything”.  2023 singles including “Back At The Bar” and “Your Baby Girl” continued his escalation up the ranks of the genre’s bright young stars, and now he is poised to take his career to the next level.
