GABBY BARRETT - Growin' Up Raising You - Warner Music Nashville

Multi-Platinum country music star Gabby Barrett has announced what is expected to be one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the new year.  Her sophomore album, ‘Chapter & Verse’, is due out February 2, 2024.  Her latest effort off the upcoming album, “Growin’ Up Raising You”, is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now via Warner Music Nashville.

Serving as co-writer and co-producer, Barrett is owning her music on a whole new level as she continues to develop as a full-and-complete recording artist with the sensitive, vulnerable, and personal topic of motherhood as the central focus on her latest track.

Written by Gabby along with Jon Nite, Zach Kale, and Jimmy Robbins, “Growin’ Up Raising You” details the hopes and fears of a young mother as she cares for her children while trying to grow and learn as a person herself.  The 23-year-old star bares her heart and mind on this track, which will inevitably connect her with her audience just as her previous releases have done, but on a whole new level.

Headlined by a beautiful melody of acoustic, electric, and pedal steel guitars, the musical arrangement sets the scene for an emotional outpouring of tenderly poetic lyrics about the emotions and thoughts a mother has in her mind and in her heart as she navigates her way through the expected ups and downs of parenthood.

“We’ll get it wrong, we’ll get it right

Whole lotta tears we both have to cry

You’ll learn to run, I’ll learn to let go

Years’ll go fast, nights’ll go slow

Lord knows the best thing that I’ll ever do

Will be growin’ up raisin’ you”

Following previous releases “Glory Days” and “Cowboy Back” from earlier this year and also to be included on her forthcoming project, Gabby’s new tune continues the trend of the talented songstress taking her musicianship to an unprecedented level for a young starlet.

“I’m only 23 – I don’t have all the answers to everything, and I haven’t gotten everything figured out,” Barrett said.  “I’m doing the best that I can while trying to raise other people to be the best people they can be.  I feel so blessed to be able to have three little lives that I can help to flourish while I’m also trying to figure out life myself.”

With the look, sound, and swagger of a superstar, Barrett has taken the country music world by storm ever since she broke onto the scene following her incredible run on ‘American Idol’ back in 2018.  Since that time, the Pittsburgh, PA native has blossomed into one of the brightest young stars in the genre, releasing smash singles including “I Hope”, “The Good Ones”, and “Pick Me Up”.  With a brand-new collection of tunes due in the not-too-distant future, Gabby is set to once again take the country music world by storm.
