The brand new summer single from fast rising singer/songwriter Lindsay James is a perfect song to put you in the mood for summer.

“Behind”, written by James along with Jared Scott, Luke Preston, and Sam Martinez, is a summer anthem worthy of its place on a soundtrack during a trip to the ocean or lake.  As we all need to do, the tune speaks about leaving your troubles behind and timing out for some much needed relaxation, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

It’s a funky, at time twangy tune, something that may not immediately come to mind when thinking of a singer/songwriter from Texas.  But this song is undeniably catchy with a theme that is all too relatable for us all:

“What do you say we cut loose

Somewhere with a beach view

Ready, set, go, hit the road

We can leave it all behind

Find some freedom on the tires

Chasing telephone wires

To a sunny state of mind”

Recently signed to Homestead Music, James hopes to follow in the footsteps of those team members laid in front of her - Dustin Lynch and Sam Hunt.  With a strong team “behind” her and songs like this in her catalogue, the future is bright for Lindsay James.
