Dierks Bentley has released his second official radio single from his ‘Gravel & Gold’ album.  After enjoying the success of the record’s first single Gold”, the country star is reflecting his thoughts on returning to nature with his latest tune.

“Something Real” is available everywhere now.

Bentley penned the tune with songwriter heavyweights Ross Copperman, Michael Hardy, Ashley Gorley, and Luke Dick during a writing retreat in Colorado, and the result is an incredibly honest longing for a return to nature and spending more time with his family.

“I think we are all seeking something a little deeper than what’s on the surface, the things we see on social media”, Dierks says.  “For me, that looks like putting my phone down, getting out in nature with my family, writing songs with my friends…doing the things where I find real connection”.

The lyrics are poetically written and unapologetically honest, and the accompanying utilization of the mandolin, banjo, and pedal steel to set the musical vibe for a song will that resonate in the hearts and minds of its listeners.

“I wanna climb up on a mountain

I want a love that feels like home

Yeah, I want a conversation

Like a sunset and a song, I can feel down in my bones”

Over the course of his career, Dierks has mastered the art of delivering an important message through an irresistibly catchy melody.  His music is proof that it’s OK to head-bob, toe-tap, and dance to a song that addresses an important message.  This is not a somber song; it’s not a happy song.  It’s an honest approach to where Dierks’ mind is at this stage of his career and his life.  It’s a well written song.  It’s a catchy song.  And, at the end of the day, it’s another opportunity for us all to sing along with Dierks, which we have all been loving to do for the past 20 years.

‘Gravel & Gold’ is the 10th album in Bentley’s illustrious career.  Since the release of his debut album in 2003, he is nearing two dozen No. 1 songs, while eclipsing eight billion streams of his songs, three CMA Awards, and 14 Grammy nominations.

Dierks has been selling out venues across the country on his “Gravel & Gold Tour”, which stretches into September at amphitheaters from coast to coast.  The trek features Jordan Davis as direct support along with an array of special guests including Elle King, Tracy Lawrence, Kameron Marlowe, and Hailey Whitters, among others.
