CARLY PEARCE FT. CHRIS STAPLETON - "We Don't Fight Anymore" - Big Machine Records

After what feels like has been eternity, Carly Pearce is releasing new music for the first time since her critically-acclaimed third studio album, ’29: WRITTEN IN STONE’.

“We Don’t Fight Anymore”, featuring Chris Stapleton, marks the first step in the next stage of her career, and is available everywhere now via Big Machine Records.

Pearce has made herself a household name in the country music industry in recent years through her talented songwriting centered around love and hate and the beginning and end of relationships.  In contrast, “We Don’t Fight Anymore” is the story of a couple whose relationship is on life support, going through the motions knowing the inevitable is near but not having the care or compassion to do anything about it.  It’s a sad situation, but one that is unfortunately the truth for many.  Once again, Carly has tapped into what is the reality for many country music fans out there, and something that was true for her at one point as well.

“I’ve always wanted to write music that makes people feel something – whether that feeling is seen, less alone, happy or even uncomfortable”, she says.  “We Don’t Fight Anymore” felt like I was writing one of those stories that, whether or not we want to include it in our social media highlight reel, we’ve either been there or are living there right now”.

As expected, Pearce’s vocals are beautiful, emphatically conveying the song’s vibe through every word.  Stapleton puts the song over the top vocally, and the musical arrangement is a perfect marriage between the styles of the two country superstars.

“We don’t tell ‘cause what the hell difference would it make?

We don’t cuss and we don’t care enough to even hate

We could tear up the house, we could burn the whole thing down

But boy what for?

‘Cause we don’t even fight anymore”

Written by Pearce along with Shane McAnally and Pete Good, the song serves as another example of just how talented the Kentucky native is as a songwriter, a musical storyteller, and singer.  If “We Don’t Fight Anymore” is any indication, Carly’s next project is set to take her to even higher accomplishments than she has already amassed in her career.

In addition to the unveiling of her latest chapter of music, Carly will also be on the road all summer and into the latter part of 2023.  One of the hardest working artists in recent years, she has tour dates scheduled across the country, from playing the nation’s biggest festivals while also making special appearances at fairs, festivals, and sold out shows through October.
