RCA Records’ Restless Road is back with a brand-new song, treating fans to yet another representation of the undeniable talent these three musicians possess.  “Last Rodeo” is available everywhere now.

In a very short time, this trio has made a name for itself as one of the most promising (and fast rising) young groups on the up-and-coming country music circuit.  With their heartfelt lyrics, beautiful harmonies, and upbeat catchy melodies, the sky is the limit for these guys.

And yet, with every release, we continue to be more impressed and pleasantly surprised with a new side they are able to show us through a song’s lyrics, notes, or delivery.

“Sometimes life throws you into the dirt, so we wrote “Last Rodeo” from a place of empowerment and not letting anyone or anything get you down”, Zach Beekan shared.  “We’re all about perseverance and this song gets that message across in a really exciting way”.

One of the elements of country music that we all love is its ability to resonate with people and relate to real life.  While songs of jubilancy and joy certainly have their place, that’s not always the reality of our lives.  And for those difficult times we will all inevitably (and unfortunately) face, we need musical motivators to help us open our minds to the bigger picture and to enable us to take our situation into our own hands to make it better.

“Last Rodeo” centers around the concept of proving to yourself as well as another that a difficult situation may get you down, but it won’t keep you down.  It’s a message we all need to hear and be reminded of, as life can throw some heavy punches at times, but the ability to respond to that adversity makes us who we are and what we’re able to accomplish in our lives.

The chorus kicks in to deliver the empowering statement of strength and perseverance.

“This ain’t my last rodeo

I might be bruised by I ain’t broke”

Describing the pain and difficulty of the situation segues into the notion of looking on and moving forward, being stronger and wiser in the future.

“You think I’m down, but just you wait

I”ll dust off this heart, put on a show

This ain’t my last rodeo”.

Once again, Restless Road delivers on all elements of a high-quality country song.  The lyrics are straightforward, down to earth, and relatable, and their vocal harmonies and pitches are incredibly tasteful and seemingly effortless.  This is a catchy tune, no doubt, but the melody does nothing to take away from the significant subject matter…it only enhances the emotional impact and connection.  Following in the footsteps of their breakout hit, “I Wanna Grow Old With You”, along with the likes of “I Don’t Wanna Be That Guy” and “On My Way”,  “Last Rodeo” promises to be yet another successful release for this talented trio.
