While still enjoying the incredibly popular rise of his single “Creek Will Rise”, singer-songwriter Conner Smith has released a new tune.  “How It looks From Here” is available everywhere now via The Valory Music Co.

Smith is releasing the song in appreciation, at least partially, to fans’ responses to when the singer-songwriter played it live.  The modern-day twangy approach to a somber topic through the verses opens up to a head-bobbing, toe-tapping sing-along chorus.

Barring a resemblance to the popular Chris Cagle single, “What Kinda Gone” from 2008, this tune centers around the end of a relationship while offering a catchy, upbeat melody with a sing-along vibe.

“With every mile she’s burning down

The chance to turn around’s disappeared

Her skies are blue, she’s outta tears

At least that’s how it looks from here”

The lyrics are cleverly crafted but are relatable and simple enough to entice the listener to sing along, while Conner’s vocal delivery is crooning by the young, heart-wrenched country boy at its finest.

Smith is enjoying what will undoubtedly become a career-changing year in 2023.  Having wrapped up his first-ever headlining “If I Went To College” tour, he is set to hit the road this summer on Luke Bryan’s “Country On” Tour as well appearing on select dates with Jordan Davis and Cole Swindell this fall.

In his young career, Smith has already garnered praise for his natural approach to songwriting, which has displayed his ability to put a unique twist on common topics.  As he continues to hone his craft while expanding upon his already impressive musical catalogue, Conner is quickly becoming one of the bright young stars to watch in the industry.
