As the cold has now started to give way to the warmer weather months and love begins to come into full bloom, the wedding season is absolutely upon us. As such, country music has aptly responded by gifting us a healthy array of songs that are perfectly suited for your wedding playlist.

Emerging songstress Karissa Ella enters that foray with the official studio release of “White Dress Worthy.”

The song, co-written by Karissa and Lori Haasz, initially surfaced about a year ago on her social platforms in its raw, acoustic format, quickly earning viral success.

Born from the advice that her own mother gave her of never settling for less when choosing who to spend the rest of your life with, the softer pace of the instrumentation allows ample room for Karissa to wrap her heartfelt vocal into a lyric that is essentially an open letter of advice to those looking for their right someone.

Transparently sharing with stark honesty through her delivery, Ella sets the motion of the song by advising to not waste time trying to change the wrong someone into something that they aren’t, carrying a big sister tone that immediately makes you perk up and listen as you feel in your heartstrings that this is someone simply passing her hard-learned knowledge onto generation next.

But where so many other songs tirelessly only list negatives and don’t aspects, the red flags if you will, Ella encouragingly leans into the chorus, pumping the positive attributes that you ought to be looking for in your someone:

So many people make the mistake of simply looking for the movie star idea of tall, dark, and handsome, but never dig deeper than that outside surface, often overlooking the things that truly matter most.

“White Dress Worthy” slides in as the bold reminder of what deeper qualities make for the most solid foundations of a great relationship.

While this gives quite a different touch in comparison to Karissa’s last release, the barn burning “Well Tequila,” it masterfully showcases the depth that the “Hometown Bar” singer/songwriter brings to the table. Couple that very intriguing juxtaposition of sonic style with the fact that this fan favorite is already making its way to the top of several big day playlists, and Karissa Ella has not only answered her fans demand, but she makes another huge move forward on her path to immense success.
