There are several different approaches an independent artist can take to get noticed within the highly competitive country music scene, but there’s arguably none that’s more ambitious than the plan that  New England native Timmy Brown has laid out for 2023.

With the release of “Runaround Town” at the beginning of March, Brown set in motion the nearly dozen singles that he will be releasing throughout the year; each with its own accompanying visual piece.

With springtime now upon us, everything is in full bloom…including love! And Timmy Brown steps up with the next contender for first dance wedding song of the year with his newest release, “The Way You Look Tonight.”

The soft waltz built within the melody provides the perfect sway along rhythm as he wraps his tenderhearted, awestruck vocal into lyrics throughout the opening verse that praises how overwhelming lucky he is to have found everything he needs, his future, when he found her.

A similar feeling is expressed in the second verse as Brown sings more directly to her with pure honesty in his voice, telling her that he’s happiest when she’s right next to him and that his world is complete whenever they’re holding hands. 

However, strongly tying together these praises and heartfelt emotions that are showered through the verses with the idea of a forever, Brown expertly lifts his vocal to pop the chorus with elated exuberance as he sings:

“The way you look tonight

You’ve got me hooked and I

Won’t let you go, yeah I’m falling

I know forever is calling

You should know baby I’m all in tonight”

One can certainly take the stance to say that songs like this are a dime a dozen in country music, but on the flipside of that stance you need to also ask yourself if they ever get tired and old?

The simple answer to that question is that of course they don’t! There’s never been a time when someone isn’t finding love, tying the knot, or feeling something fluttering their heart in a way like it hasn’t ever done before.

Amid those flurries of emotions, which often leave you at a loss for words, a song like “The Way You Look Tonight” steps in to speak for you, giving proper definition to the unexplainable feelings you’re experiencing as you fall further and further.
