Written in honor of “National Women’s Month”, the latest release from EMI Music Nashville’s Kylie Morgan is an empowering ode to hard work and determining one’s own success.  Penned by the Oklahoma native along with James McNair and Seth Mosley, the upbeat number incorporates Kylie’s trademark playful sass while imploring the value of working hard for what you earn.

“Make your own money, honey

Wouldn’t life be sweet

You don’t need a rich man to buy you what you need

Faking love for diamonds, baby that won’t make you happy

Fill your own pockets

Be your own sugar daddy”

Having fully engulfed herself into the country music industry as a young teenager, Morgan has continued to hone her craft over the years and has developed into an incredibly talented singer, songwriter, and entertainer.  Her ability to tackle sensitive topics while also showcasing her exuberating, fun-loving attitude through her music and lyrics puts her in a category all her own.

While the melodies are fun and the beats make you want to bob your head and tap your toes, the relentless focus on the subject matter leaves the listener with a lot to think about after the song’s conclusion.

“Sugar Daddy” is cute, fun, and catchy, but it’s also an anthem and an ode to those hard-working women who don’t need anyone but themselves to achieve what they want in life.

The release of “Sugar Daddy” comes as Kylie’s hit single “If He Wanted To He Would” continues to climb the charts and being played in heavy rotation at country radio nationwide.  The previously released “Independent With You” was featured on her 2022 EP ‘P.S.’

While she is a veteran entertainer, singer, and songwriter, she continues to garner new fans and is being recognized as one of country music’s brightest young stars.  Recently named Billboard’s “Country Rookie of the Month”, she nabbed her first award nomination at the 2023 CMT Music Awards for Breakthrough Female Video Of The Year.  Having just wrapped her headlining “Independent With You Tour” last month, Morgan announced that she will be hitting the road on Old Dominion’s “No Bad Vibes Tour” later this year.
