Following his formal introduction to the national country music audience during his run on American Idol, Alex Miller proved himself to be much more than a singer, but a true music artist, with the release of his debut album, ‘Miller Time’.

The record featured a variety of musical arrangements and genre-bending influences while also showcasing his impressive vocals.  Now, with the anticipation from fans of new music on the horizon in the form of another project, Alex has released a new tune.  “Girl, I Know A Guy” is available now on all streaming platforms via Billy Jam Records.

Navigating through today’s country music scene in hopes of finding one’s niche can be a complicated journey.  But Miller, who was working on his family’s farm when he was accepted for Season 19 of American Idol, has discovered where he belongs within music’s most popular genre in a very short time.  And while he knows what he can do and where he fits, that doesn’t mean he isn’t willing to diversify his sound and travel outside his comfort level.

The new single from Miller is a nice collaboration of varying generations of country music, incorporating elements of traditional and modern variances to produce an end result that has some appeal to listeners of all ages and disciplines.  While the lyrics are undoubtedly modern and reflect Alex’s age and generation, the musical accompaniment complete with melodies and riffs take the listener back to the days of a more traditional sound.

“Let me show you what you’re missing let me be your something more

Do some dancing in the kitchen let me open all your doors

We could tear down all your walls brick by brick watch’em fall

Wanna know what love feels like?

Girl, I know a guy”

This a love song, no doubt, but it’s an upbeat toe-tapper that will have us all singing along with Alex’s familiar booming vocals.  And while the lyrics are cleverly crafted, the theme of the song is simple.  He wants to offer a girl who has everything in the world the one thing she doesn’t have, and that is love.  It’s upbeat, it’s fun, and it’s endearing, and it’s going to be a hit.

“Girl, I Know A Guy” follows “When God Made The South”, which was the first single from his upcoming project, due later this year.  His debut record, ‘Miller Time’, featured the successful “I’m Over You, So Get Over Me”, “Don’t Let The Barn Door Hit Ya”, and “Through With You”.
