Chase Rice has revolutionized his career with his latest album, ‘I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell’.  The record has seen a transition from the “typical” songs put out to country radio in modern days to an ultra-personal account of his life and the world as he sees it.

His latest single, “Bad Day To Be A Cold Beer”, is the latest track on its way to country radio, and promises to be another feather in the cap for the BBR Music Group recording artist.

The release comes as a response to fans’ overwhelmingly positive reaction to the song at his concerts throughout his ‘Way Down Yonder Tour.’  This is an anthem to its core, one that will have us all singing and swaying along.  A perfect track for the summer ahead; the tune was written by Rice along with Justin Thomas, John Byron and Blake Pendergrass.

The outlaw-inspired guitar intro lends itself to the honest, hard-working ode the lyrics depicted through the first verse and into the sing-along chorus.

“This workin’ like a dog has got me dog tired

Pushing twelve hour days, pullin’ all damn nighters

But come five o’clock I’m the hell out of here

Man, it’s a bad, bad day to be a cold, cold beer”

Following “If I were Rock & Roll”, the album’s first official radio single, along with fan favorites “Key West & Colorado”, “I Hate Cowboys”, and “All Gods Go To Hell”, this tune is undeniably catchy but stays true to the new direction Rice’s music has taken over the past couple of years.  With each song we hear, the more well-deserved respect is bestowed upon this talented singer-songwriter.

The multi-platinum artist has done something that very few singer-songwriters have been able to do.  He has shifted his musical approach against the grain of today’s mainstream sound, reinventing himself as a songwriter and performer.  He has changed the narrative of who he is as a musician, earning the respect of fellow artists, critics and fans, all the while continuing to release high-quality tunes.  That trend continues with “Bad Day To Be A Cold Beer”.

In addition to continually impressing the industry with releases from his album, Chase is gearing up for an incredibly busy touring schedule this year.  While headlining his own gigs throughout the summer, he is also appearing as some of the country’s biggest festivals as well as serving as a special guest on national headlining tours for the likes of Jelly Roll and Old Dominion through the end of the year.
