Australian pop-country duo Seaforth is making waves in country music with their tear-jerking, heart-wrenching ballad “Breakups”.  The song touches on a subject that most can relate to, that one relationship between lovers, but also best friends.  The song is somber, some may even describe as depressing, but is delivered so beautifully, it should be a fan favorite.

Band members Mitch Thompson and Tom Jordan penned the track, along with Liz Rose and Cameron Bedell, and is as “real life” as a song can get.  The song opens with Thompson and Jordan singing over an acoustic guitar and light piano, but builds over the second half of the song to musically illustrate the powerful emotion.  The harmonies are incredible, and their ability to deliver the passion behind the lyrics is nothing short of inspirational.

“You’re the only one in the world I wanna talk to right now

The only one to pick me up on a night like this, and I know

You’ll be the first thing on my mind in the morning

Sober or drunk, you’re the one that I just miss”.

Growing up in the Sydney, Australia suburb of Seaforth, Jordan and Thompson moved to the United States full time in 2017, honing their craft in both songwriting and performing.  They inked a deal with Sony Nashville and released their debut EP in April 2019.

“Breakups” follows “Close Enough” and “Talk About”, both released in 2020.  With irresistibly catchy hooks accompanied by harmonious melodies, this duo is rising fast in the country music world.  They currently have dates scheduled through the end of the year in markets across the country.
