Taryn Papa, who many will recognize from her run as part of Team Blake on season 19 of The Voice, has spent the better part of the past year laying solid foundation for a strong EP release with spotlighting shows at several of Nashville’s hottest venues and buzzed about singles, “Changed” and “Persuaded,” the latter which saw its video earn airplay with CMT.

With this past weekend’s release of her Awake EP (2/3/23), Papa also hyped it one last time by correlating her latest single release alongside it; a duet with Zack Dyer, “No One’s Gonna Love You (Like I Do).”

The song, co-written by Taryn, Emma Klein, and Jared Keim, stays right in that sweet spot for Papa as it delivers a catchy flavor that wraps itself into pop laden ideals and modern country flare, keeping a firm shine on her power packed vocals to deliver the swooning in love lyrics that spell out a love at first sight/ head over heels feeling.

Taryn praises through the opening verse that she knows he’s a catch and that she’s lucky to get to call him her own, while then shifting gears to wedding vow like wording through the pre-chorus and chorus:

“I’m gonna give ya everything

Feelings like you never felt

I’ll make sure the love I give

Is something you can’t find somewhere else"

                          - and- 

"No one’s gonna love you like I do

From the moment that I met you baby I knew

I never wanna live a life without you

No one’s gonna love you like I do”

Dyer coming in on the second verse gives a full spectrum feel to the lyrics as he perfectly accentuates her feelings from the male perspective by adding that he’s never wanted anybody else since he first saw her, while he also reassures her that she doesn’t need to second guess these shared feelings.

The ultra-relatable lyrics and first dance sway of the melody immediately make it a top contender for wedding song of the year, especially with a one-line injection in the bridge that sings, “I love lovin’ on you lovin’ on me for the rest of our lives.”

On top of her new EP and brand-new single release, Taryn Papa has also teamed this particular song with the PEDIGREE foundation in effort to help raise awareness for pet adoption.
