The subject matter of “What Made Me”, the latest release from Canadian country vocalist Delaney Grant, doesn’t exactly break new ground.  The song is about reflection, looking at lessons learned and how they have shaped who she is today.

But what does set this tune apart from many others is the vocal delivery that Grant has become known for in her short time in the country music spotlight.  Her smooth, soulful delivery is truly something to behold.

Working with writers and producers in her native Ontario as well as in Nashville, Delaney has put together a strong debut album, After The Fire, as well as the new single “What Made Me” with the accompanying track “Home”.

Penmanship is of utmost important to this singer/songwriter, and this is evident in the lyrical and musical collaboration that comes to the forefront on “What Made Me”.  The song shows a vulnerability while also offering sings of maturity as she is not only reflecting on the past, but also learning from it and moving forward.

With impressive vocals and keen lyrical ingenuity, Delaney Grant has a promising future in country music.
