Country music neo-traditionalist Chad Bushnell has used 2022 to lay down a firm foundation for his upcoming album release on the back of his highly praised singles, “Ain’t Much Changed” and “Outta Style.”

He now returns with “Fallin’ In Love With You,” and with it, he unveils another layer to his rich, soulful country tilt as he pulls from traditional sensibilities while smartly keeping one foot on a more modern infused sound that is refreshingly more driven by a mid-2000’s influence that allows him to find his comfort home in a style that keeps squarely in line with what he does and who he is as an artist.

Wearing his romantic side on his sleeve, Bushnell admittedly channels his Josh Turner influence of songs like “So Not My Baby” to take us through the over the moon feelings he’s experiencing as he swoons over his better half, singing through the opening verse of how she changed the entire direction of his life:

There’s not a finer girl so beautiful

Make me get down on one knee

And ask her to be my partner forever

Big expensive diamond rings.”

By candidly sharing in the second verse that he’s absolutely struck out a few times before meeting her, but also how he never thought his heart would feel the way it does now that he has found her, instantly provides the aww factor, as the chorus firmly upholds his cowboy country cred when he compares falling in love with her to being as easy as liking apple pie, while trying to play cool on the fact that she’s got his heart going crazy.

Chad Bushnell has had a very solid year with strong single releases, but more importantly, he has managed to create a bit of buzz for his forthcoming album. With “Fallin’ In Love With You,” he impressively avoids the cliché of giving us a slower paced love song, to instead, shift into a mid-tempo, nearly waltz like feel in the instrumentation, as he showers the song with a sexier vibe that allows the listener to feel the feelings he’s experiencing as he sings us through each word and every line.
