Singer-songwriter Savannah Rae has quickly been making a name for herself across the country music spectrum and beyond, including appearances on the American Music Awards and NBC’s The Voice.  Intertwining elements of country, pop and rock while displaying an unshakable vocal prowess to create a sound all her own, the Texas native is on the fast track to being one of the fresh young faces in the genre.

Her latest release, “All Hat”, is a Texas country song to its core.  Savannah’s vocals are superb here, drawing a resemblance to some early Terri Clark in her tone and word expression.  Written three years ago, the “red dirt Texas country” track leaves no mystery as to its influences.  It’s an unapologetic expression of self-assurance, frustration, and a proclamation to not settle for anything less than what you deserve.

“You’re all hat, no cowboy

You’re like a Hollywood version of a man who gives a damn

You’re all hat, no cowboy

How can you say you love me when you don’t know who I am?”

This is a no-nonsense track about a woman who knows what she wants and will not settle for anything less.  It is an empowering number, no doubt, but it’s also a self-expression of a country singer who is proud of who she is and where she came from.

Throughout the year, Savannah has released a series of songs that she wrote with iconic Nashville songwriters, including Britton Cameron, Holly Lamar, as well as country music legend Pam Tillis.  “All Hat”, following previous singles “Little Soldier” and “Typical Texas Girl”, continue to escalate this promising country songstress to the forefront of the more exciting young talents in the genre.
