Yes, Nashville is Music City….but close behind, if not right beside it, is the Texas music scene.  There are almost two genres of country music – there’s country and then there’s Texas country.

The lone-star state’s Donice Morace has made a name for himself in his home state for years, and now, he has paved the way for himself to quickly become known as an up-and-coming force in Nashville.

His latest single, “Goin’ Goin’”, is an ode to the traditional 90’s country roots while touching on a subject that we have all faced at one point or another – a lingering love.

The song is well written and perhaps even better sung.  It’s an easy listening, mid-tempo dance number that plays its way into the minds of the listener long after it ends.  It tells the story of someone at the beginning of a long journey to healing after a relationship ends, and all of the feelings and emotions that one experiences at that moment.

Goin’ Goin’ but you still got a ways to go

To get on out of my memory and further down the road

You’re still rollin’ rollin’ around here in my head

By now I should be movin’ on

You keep goin’ goin’

But you’re still not gone

And while the lyrical substance is a heartbreaker, even a tear-jerker, the musical component offers a nice contrast, perfect for getting out on the dance floor and having a good time.  As self-described by its songwriter, this tune is the tale of a haunted heart.  And it’s irresistibly catchy!

“Goin’ Goin’” follows “One Drink In”, which has certainly made waves on Music City and further highlights Donice Morace as a force to be reckoned with on the underground music scene.  This Texas native has a lot of talent to offer this genre, and is a welcomed addition with his musical ingenuity and loyalty to classic 90’s country.
