Kasey Tyndall has solidified her place as one of Nashville’s young songwriters to watch over the past year thanks to such incredibly well-written, softer paced songs such as “Middle Man” and her last single “Babies.”

However, as she’s shown on her fiery, guitar lick infused single, “Jesus and Joan Jett,” she’s also not afraid to let her hair down and let loose while having a damn good time by bringing an edgy rock kissed sound into her modern country vibe.

This edgier, grittier side of her arsenal is exactly what Tyndall gives us on her new single, “Nothin’ Wrong with Being Country.”

Co-written by Tyndall, Cole Taylor, and Jacob Rice, the song sees Kasey wearing her small-town pride and Southern roots out on her sleeve as she provides an anthem that hits on all the right key words and phrasing to get the small-towners hooting and hollering.

With a down-charm infused in her voice that she perfectly laces over the top of the mid-tempo melody, Tyndall sings straight to the heart of the country folk with a knowing wink on descriptive lines that unapologetically paint the pictures of the personality that’s stereotypically associated with being “country”:

“Bless your heart is your go to words.”

“Your favorite color is camouflage, your day off is a fishing rod”

“If you keep a cross hanging on a chain”

“If you’re like your mama you can whip up anything”

Proudly embracing the country lifestyle and way of life, Kasey Tyndall attacks the negative connotation that some associate with the South as she punches home the chorus with fist-pumping, anathematic like style, boldly declaring that there “Ain’t nothin’ wrong with being a little redneck” and “there ain’t nothin’ wrong with being country.”

Kasey Tyndall has been creating a substantial amount of buzz with each song she’s released thus far, and when you couple that buzz with her current tour alongside Bailey Zimmerman and Corey Kent, and her opening slot earlier this year on Drake White’s tour, you get all the right ingredients coming together to add up to an exciting next chapter that’s starting to open up for Kasey Tyndall with the release of this song!
