Walker Hayes has earned a Grammy nomination, six Billboard Music Award nominations, five ACM Award nominations, and a CMT Award nomination.  He charted a No. 1 single at country radio (“Fancy Like”) and another current racing up the charts (“Ya’ll Life”) and is headlining the “Glad You’re Here” arena tour this fall.

And this guy just won’t quit.  He has released his latest tune to fans, “That Dog’ll Hunt”, available everywhere.  As has been the case for a number of artists recently, Walker has released this song in response to the overwhelming demand of fans after he played it on the road this summer and posted a clip online.

Hayes wrote the tune along with Cameron Montgomery and Melissa Fuller, and produced it along with Joe Thibodeau and Shane McAnally, and it follows the trend of upbeat, catchy, lyrically witty accounts of the every-day elements of life to which we can all relate.

The lyrical delivery is where Walker has set himself apart, with each line leaving the listener anticipating the next.  He has found his niche within the country music genre, and there seems to be no stopping his creativity with a pen and paper.

“Life ain’t nothin’ but a funny, funny riddle

Buddy, I’m lucky as a buffalo nickel

Homecomin’ runner-up queen in the middle seat

I voted for you, baby (you know I did, girl)”

“That Dog’ll Hunt” has a tough act to follow, as “Ya’ll Life” has become his highest streaming debut to date with over 2.5 million first week streams.  It was the No. 1 country digital song, and No. 3 all genre digital song the week it was released.
