Fresh off the heels of his chart-climbing radio single “What My World Spins Around”, Jordan Davis has released a brand-new tune, “Next Thing You Know”, via MCA Nashville.

Written by Davis along with Chase McGill, Josh Osborne, and Greylan James, the song is a tale of appreciating all of life’s moments while encouraging us all to slow down, be present, and enjoy the ride.

It’s a wonderfully relatable tune, painting a picture effortlessly and instantly suggests the listener to recall moments from one’s own life.  It’s a slow, thought-provoking ballad while also incorporating Davis’s signature quick lyrical delivery.  His clear vocal approach is the seller here, and every word is fluently delivered with the emotion necessary for the song’s material.

Next thing you know

You’re vain’ money like never before

Just to spend it all at a jewelry store

Gettin’ down on one knee on her mama’s porch

Just prayin’ she don’t say no

Touching on love, marriage, children, and reminiscing about one’s life in the rear view, “Next Thing You Know” is the latest release from Davis that has the country music genre truly appreciating how talented the Louisiana native is as a songwriter, vocalist, and performer.

Having moved to Nashville ten years ago originally to follow his dream as a songwriter only, he has quickly made a name for himself as one of the more promising rising stars in country music.

Announced in tandem with the release of “Next Thing You Know”, Davis revealed that is highly anticipated new album, ‘This Is Where I Am At In My Life’, will be released in February 2023.
