There are few bands that are easier to root for in country music than Parmalee.  The Platinum-selling band from North Carolina made waves in the genre with a slate of successful singles from 2012 to 2015, including “Musta Had a Good Time”, “Carolina”, “Close Your Eyes”, and “Already Callin’ You Mine”.

After some bumps and trials along the way, the band rebounded in 2019 with “Just The Way” with Blanco Brown, followed by “Take My Name”, and now “Girl In Mine”.  The quartet’s new single is available now on all streaming platforms.

Released via Stoney Creek Records, this song represents everything we have loved about Parmalee over the years.  Creative, intuitive lyrics, immediate musical appeal and irresistibly catchy beats and melodies.

Penned by vocalist Matt Thomas along with Ashley Gorley, David Fanning, Travis Wood and Casey Brown, “Girl In Mine” is not an overly complicated song.  And much like a lot of popular country songs, the plot is simple.  This is a modern-day revelation of showing one’s love and affection for that special someone in one’s life.

In my head when I’m dreamin’

In my Friday every weekend

All my days, my nights

Baby, you’re the only girl in mine

The vocals are smooth and effortless and the beats and rhythms are crafted flawlessly.  This song will be instantly loved by the group’s hardcore following while also lending itself as an introduction to potential new fans.

Parmalee is currently on the road supporting Walker Hayes, while also intertwining their own headlining gigs along the way.  With self-proclaimed new-found connection with their fans and lyrical and musical motivation leading the way, fans can expect much more from the North Carolina natives in the coming months.
