We love country music.  From its heartfelt nature to its historical adaptability, this genre has developed a musical avenue for virtually any and all music fan, from rock to pop, from traditional to modern, and from man to woman, and everything in between.

Hannah Ellis loves country music.  From her appearance on NBC’s “The Voice” to making the move to Nashville to focus on her music, the Cambellsville, KY native has followed her passion and muse to endless songwriting nights, honkytonk bars, and now to a recording deal.

Her latest effort, released via Curb Records, is an ode to the genre to which she has dedicated her music career.  “Country Can” is available on all streaming platforms now.

The parallels between a country music career and one’s personal life are undeniable.  There are highs and lows, trials and triumphs, moments of both sorrow and joy.  “Country Can” is a recognition of what this genre means to not only its talented songwriter, but also to any of us who are fans of the music as we all experience the good and the bad of real life.

Nothing makes you fall in love underneath back forty stars

Nothing makes you wanna cry like a heart broke steel guitar

Nothing helps you find the words you wanna say when you can’t

Nothing gets you back home like country can

It’s a clever tune delivered straight to the heart of its listeners.  The lyrics are undeniably relatable and paints a picture in your mind while tapping your toes and bobbing your head to the irresistibly catchy beat and sing-along melody.

And much like the genre she sings about, Ellis has created a tune that thanks the evolution of this esteemed musical category that continues to appeal to traditional country music lover as well as modern days fans, much like this tune.  The irony is stunning with this track, and the result is sure to be extraordinary.

Hannah has paid her dues over the years a singer-songwriter in Music City, and now the lights are shining a little brighter.  Having penned tunes and been featured as a vocalist with the likes of Russell Dickerson, Carly Pearce, and Cassadee Pope, she has shared the stage with Dwight Yoakam and Devin Dawson, as well as CMT’s “Next Women Of Country” Tour.  Her debut album on Curb Records is expected in 2023.
