Dallas Remington’s sassy southern attitude and unashamedly embracing of her Kentucky roots - the good, the bad, and the transparently real - have all played a role in her incredible connection with her fans and the impact that she’s had at country radio over the past year with single releases “Princess,” “Dirty Roses,” and “Mullet.”

Remington now returns with her brand-new single, “White Trash Heart.”

The song, co-written by Remington with Nancy Deckant, Lauren Spring, and Cyndi Limbaugh Torres, unapologetically tells the real-life story about a time when she found herself being attracted to a stereotypical “white trash” guy.

Painting the perfect visual of him, Remington sings through the up-tempo driven melody of the verses about a guy wearing overalls with no shirt underneath, sporting a farmer’s tan, a skoal ring, a trucker hat, and the whole nine yards.

However, as much as she reveals in the chorus that having a white trash heart has made her the black sheep of the family and that she’s wrecking her mom and daddy’s pride, she also fully embraces who she is through lines such as:

No, it ain’t a phase, and at least I know it

I really don’t mind that my Kentucky’s showing

And she then hits us with a stark truth in the descriptions of who she’s always been when she takes us back to the visual of her prom night past by singing:

“A Camo prom dress, box dyed hair

Walmart tailgatin’”

Remington’s “I don’t care what you think” attitude is very prevalent through her vocals and delivery of these truthful lyrics, which have obviously come very natural for her as she’s reliving a piece of her own story. However, most importantly, the country catchiness of the song, its memorable lyrics, and her ability to draw straight from her own life and connect the story perfectly to the demographic she’s attracting are the combination of elements that will continue to propel her impact as she steps down her path.
