Since releasing their album Growing Wings in 2021, Diamond Dixie – the duo comprised of sisters Gabriella and Bianca LeDuc – have quickly carved out their niche amongst the pool of modern country talents, grown their fan base to tremendous heights, and have set their eyes on taking over Nashville one stage at a time, playing renowned events such as Bus Call at Tin Roof, Hope on a Row at 6th and Peabody, Nashville’s Most Wanted at Scoreboard, and more!

They now return with their brand-new single “PDA.”

The start and stop style to the instrumentation and from the vocals of Gabriella throughout the cold opening immediately intrigue the listener as you’re pulled into the song and instantly get the tease line, “Lean in while you can cause who knows if you’ll get another chance,” as she flirtatiously entices the tough cowboy in question to come in for a kiss.

The second half of the opening verse sees them masterfully shift out of the start and stop style and into a very smooth, modern country rhythm as she continues spelling out what she needs from a man as it all cultivates when they hit the sway along with chorus and Bianca blends her harmony into Gabriella’s lead while singing you through a list of the attributes that paint very vivid pictures and give examples of wanted PDA; from someone who can’t wait to put his hand in the pocket of her Levi jeans, to someone not afraid of kissing her public even if everyone stares.

The second verse swerves perfectly into combatting the typical bro country idea of making out on a back road, to instead, instigating a kiss out on the dance floor while focusing on the notion that even in a crowded room, the feelings are so overwhelmingly good that it’s like it’s just the two of them there.

This is a banger of a playfully fun song that is ultra-catchy and mainstream radio ready, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from the duo that previously gave us songs such as “Lock It Up” and “Through With You.”

Diamond Dixie elevates their melody game with the shifts in time signatures to give them a unique edge over the typical fare of today, while still carefully maintaining their signature style and kicking up their decisively modern kissed vibe as they excitingly open their next chapter.

With everything coming together to work in their favor so far, and with songs like this to add to their resume, Diamond Dixie is one signature on paperwork away from signing the deal that will make them the next hottest thing in country music!
