Pueblo, Colorado native Cody Cozz has released his newest single, “On My Way”, via Grindstone Records.  The label was created / launched by acclaimed country artist Craig Campbell several years ago, and the release of “On My Way” coincides with the announcement of the signing of Cozz to Grindstone.

“On My Way” was written by Campbell along with Phil O’Donnell and Wade Kirby, and Craig, who also produced the track, nearly put the song on his own album.  He ultimately decided that it would a great way to introduce the wider country music world to Cody Cozz.

This is a motivating, inspirational track that can be as personal and/or as universal as the listener needs it to be.  It is an emotionally personal song for Cody, who had a one promising football career cut short by injury, and turned to music and since then, has never looked back.

His vocals are on point, perfectly aligning with the upbeat and uplifting melody.  This song is radio ready, complete with smooth transitions between verse and chorus and emphatic guitar solo.  And while this is clearly about hurrying home to see that someone special, one can encapsulate lines here and there throughout that could apply to a number of different situations and emotions.  After all, that is trait of any great song, and we shouldn’t expect anything less from the songwriting tandem of Campbell, O’Donnell, and Kirby.

“On My Way” is sure to garner a lot of industry attention, which will only intensify the anticipation of Cody’s upcoming sing song EP due out later this year.
