Country music superstar and acclaimed singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett is at it again, penning another irresistibly catchy tune, and this time he has some help on the vocals.  The Valory Music Co. recording artist shares the mic with Riley Green on his single, “Half Of Me”, a fun-loving song about having a good time while putting their responsibilities on hold for an afternoon.

The irresistibly catchy track begins with Rhett detailing the chores he “needs” to do, before breaking into the chorus of what he WANTS to do.

I ain’t even tryna fight it, it’s already been decided

The sky and the mountains are blue

Half of me wants a cold beer

And the other half does too

Green chimes in with the second verse and they share the vocal duties on the bridges and choruses.  The two sound solid together, while also each adding their own dimension to the song, diversifying the lyrical delivery for variety throughout.

“Half Of Me” was written by Thomas along with his father Rhett Atkins, Josh Thompson, and William Bundy.  Shortly after the song was completed, Rhett asked Riley if he wanted to be featured on the vocals, and later that day, the two were in the studio together.

The result of this collaboration is expected to be yet another chart climber for Rhett and further introduction to the mainstream country spotlight for Green.

Rhett kicks off his “Bring The Bar To You” tour this month, hitting markets across the country this summer and into the fall with special guests Parker McCollum and Conner Smith for support.

Green is on the road supporting Luke Bryan on his “Raised Up Right” Tour, and will join Dierks Bentley’s “Beers On Me” jaunt beginning August 13th in Montreal.
