In the days, weeks, and months of the aftermath following the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen and heard about artists taking some of that time that was turned upside down to delve into their own thoughts and feelings, and the results have garnered a barrage of new music, touching on the deeper, significant things in life.

That trend continues with “When It Comes To Leaving”, the new single from UK-based songstress Emily Faye.  This is a song about the feelings and emotions involved with having to say goodbye.  There is truly a universal quality to this track with its ability to relate to everyone, regardless of who they are or where they live.

This song is different…it’s a little catchy, but it’s a little comforting.  It’s light, but it’s melodic.  It’s easy listening, but it’s thought-provoking.

Faye’s voice is beautiful from start to finish, and her subtle fleeting vocals open the door for the power behind what could be a powerhouse flourish at any moment.

Penned by Faye along with Jess Thristan, the tune showcases an honest and vulnerable fearlessness approach to songwriting.  As we have seen over the years, when an artist lets his/her guard down, magical things happen.

Labeled as “a new country artist you need to know” by Rolling Stones magazine, Faye uses her incredible musical storytelling ability to blended the gap between country and pop to create sound all her own.  With a lyrical ingenuity accompanying a seemingly effortless and flawless vocal delivery, Emily Faye is staking her claim as a force to be reckoned with in the country music industry for years to come.
