In what may seem like a blast from the past for some country music fans, Ty Herndon has released a brand new track – “Till You Get There”.

The song will be the lead single from his upcoming album, ‘JACOB’.  The Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning country artist penned the tune with Jamie Floyd, Erik Halbig, and Jimmy Thow, and the result is an uplifting and inspiring offering about our journey through life.

“Till You Get There” has been generating much buzz leading up to its formal release, with its subject matter about trials and tribulations and overcoming obstacles, no matter how big or small, being just what we all need in the current times in which we live.

Every scar, every broken heart

Is exactly what you needed I swear

But you won’t know it Till You Get There

As with much of Herndon’s music over the years, there are elements from many genres at play on this tune specifically as well as his upcoming record as a whole; from country, rock, and even shades of southern and gospel.  All blended together, they make a sound that truly his own, which has helped him remain relevant in the revolving door of country music over the past decade.

Due out July 15, ‘JACOB’ will be the first new album from Herndon since 2016’s ‘House On Fire’.  Similar to its lead single, his new record will touch and focus on a life of hard-fought struggles and hard-won triumphs.  The album will be accompanied by the release of a new, ten-episode podcast hosted by Herndon in Partnership with Pivotal Moments Media.
