With the release of her last single and its accompanying music video, “Love Makes You Blind,” Florida native (who now calls Nashville home) Kaylee Rose elevated her already solid status to an entirely new level as the video, which took us inside the Johnny Cash Museum and the love story of Johnny and June, incredibly amassed over 90K views in just 30 days.

With over 5 million Spotify streams now on her catalog of songs, she now returns with what will arguably be the bop of the warmer weather months with “I Think I’m In Trouble Tonight.”

“If you know how to get in a bit of trouble on Friday night….this song is for you,” Rose shared in a social media post to generate buzz for the song ahead of its release.

The catchy, toe-tapping, shoulder dancing, modern pop country jam allows Rose to showcase a sassy, playfully naughty side as she takes us straight into the bar with her on a Friday night while riding on a lyric that focuses on the fact that even though she knows it’s wrong, she sees all the warning signs, and knows it’s going to bring out the side of her that could land her in trouble, she’s going to do it anyways because what does tonight have to do with tomorrow morning.

Specific situations she explores throughout the first part of the song include her downing tequila after the bartender poured her a double shot when she said that it will make her want to get up and dance, her drinking on two tabs due to flirting with two different guys who just so happen to be friends, etc.

The second verse aptly continues exploring these “trouble” choices as she reveals that she was about to head home until she got a message from her friend saying she was only five minutes down the road, that she might text her ex later in the night when they get rowdy after a few more drinks, etc.

The sway along groove through the verses keeps you invested into its steady rhythm, as she then pushes you into the sing along chorus where she confesses the simple truths:

“Oh, I know in the morning I’ll wake up and I’ll be wondering why

Can’t say I didn’t see it coming I’m crossing every one of the lines

Oh, don’t try and slow me down just get another round and we’ll be fine

Ignoring every warning in the neon signs

I think I’m in trouble tonight”

“I Think I’m In Trouble Tonight” is a memorable party song that’s built on catchiness and strong, relatable lyrics that will help it connect with many of the listening demographic she’s aiming to hit, easily landing the song on many different playlists while continuing to elevate her status as a songwriter and artist as she opens her next chapter.
