Athens, GA native Mackenzie Carpenter has released the new track “Can’t Nobody”, available everywhere now via The Valory Music Co.

A mid-tempo melody with its roots in nostalgic 90’s country, this song takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster before revealing its true nature.

Self-proclaimed as “tacky country”, the twenty-two year old songstress is in her prime as a singer/songwriter, and this song represents the imagery and metaphoric lyricism that has put the country in country music for years.

Can’t nobody knock’em out like Rocky

Can’t nobody rock’em like Daisy Duke

Can’t nobody love June like Johnny

Can’t nobody break a heart like you

The song is soulful, honest, and creatively wistful in its ability to temporarily paint the picture of a perfect young love, only to reveal the true nature of a relationship gone wrong.  It’s a mature lyrical approach to a broken heart, and the Belmont University alum’s vocals are on point throughout, effortlessly and flawlessly capturing the song’s emotion.

Mackenzie has been making a name for herself as a songwriter, with her first cut, “Villain” recorded by Lily Rose, landing at the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Country chart.  She is currently in the studio working on her full-length debut project, and fans can catch her on the road in the fall when she hits the road with Jake Owen and Travis Denning.
