LAINEY WILSON
"Heart Like A Truck"
BBR Music Group
Fast-rising country music starlet Lainey Wilson is back with her latest single, “Heart Like A Truck”, released this week via the BBR Music Group.
This is another solid addition to Wilson’s ever-growing catalogue of ingenious releases that she continues to amass in her short time in the country music spotlight. It’s smart, clever, and offers the metaphors country music fans love and to which we can all understand and appreciate. It’s vulnerable yet confident, aggressive yet tender, and the down-to-earth relatable nature will make this one a fan favorite.
“There ain’t no brakin’ when I throw it in drive
Don’t always keep it in-between the lines
If you’re ready for a ride
Pedal down state of mind
Boy, I tell you what
You better buckle up”
Lainey co-wrote the track along with Trannie Anderson and Dallas Wilson, offering a glimpse into what we can expect from what continues to escalate into a highly anticipated upcoming new album.
“Heart Like A Truck” follows Wilson’s second No. 1 effort, “Never Say Never” with Cole Swindell, which held the top spot on the country radio charts for two weeks. Her breakout hit, “Things A Man Oughta Know” won Song of the Year at the 2022 ACM Awards, and was her first No. 1 hit.
She has a relentless touring schedule this spring, summer, and fall, with dates slated at the nation’s biggest festivals as well as supporting dates for the likes of Jon Pardi, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs.
