San Antonio, TX native Savannah Rae’s single “Little Soldier” is a heart-wrenching and tear-jerking story of love, loss, and endurance in one of the more thought-provoking releases on the independent country circuit in recent memory.

Perfectly timed as we approach Memorial Day, “Little Soldier” is written from the perspective of a mother of a soldier, immediately occupying the listener’s attention from the first chord struggle and first vocal uttered.

Savannah’s voice is on point throughout, and while the subject matter is of utmost significance and demands the listener’s undivided attention, it is impossible not to thoroughly appreciate the undeniable vocal talent on full display.

The song, written by Karyn Rochelle (Trisha Yearwood, Lorrie Morgan, among others) and produced by Jeff Huskins (Clint Black, Little Texas), is set to a simple yet captivating piano melody, with its direct initiative to showcase the lyrics from start to finish.

Savannah has quickly been making a name for herself across the country music spectrum and beyond, including appearances on American Music Awards and NBC’s The Voice.  Intertwining elements of country, pop and rock while displaying an unshakable vocal prowess to create a sound all her own, the Texas native is on the fast track to being one of the fresh young faces in the genre.
