Country crooner Nate Smith has released his anticipated new single, “Whiskey On You”, via Sony Music Nashville.

Yes, this is a breakup song to its core, and it’s obvious from the first few words Smith utters in the opening verse.  Channeling his inner Florida Georgia Line / Morgan Wallen, he ruggedly delivers his reflective perspective on a past relationship and his realization about how he felt then and how he feels now.

The verses slowly build relentless momentum up to the powerful chorus, turning up the volume and intensity of aggressively somber riffs and beats alongside Smith’s raspy yet crisp vocals.  The subject matter is emotional, but this is a gritty rock and roll track, and vocal demeanor portrays the perfect blend of sentiment and energy to engage fans of all tastes of the genre.

Ain’t gonna waste one more night missing, wanting you back

No, I an’t gonna cry another tear in this glass

You didn’t waste any time finding somebody new

So, I ain’t gonna waste another drop of whiskey on you

After enduring personal trials, tribulations and tragedies a few years ago, Nate’s relentless determination and passion have taken his music career to the next level, and the country music world is paying attention.  He has developed a devout following while his presence on the genre’s up-and-coming singer-songwriter landscape has been turning heads over the past couple of years.

With gifted vocal delivery and an unwavering musical swagger, Nate Smith’s blend of soul, rock and roll, and country grit put him on the fast track to being a household name in the genre.
