Acclaimed singer-songwriter Adam Hood has released his latest single, “Business With Jesus.  The tune features Blackberry Smoke’s Charlie Starr, Britt Turner, and Richard Turner, and was produced by Brett Cobb.

Self-proclaimed as “southern music”, Hood’s approach mixes soul, country, and American roots all into one package, creating a sound truly unique to his own style, whether in the studio or on the stage.  “Business With Jesus” encapsulates that vibe, introducing listeners, new and old, to his fifth studio album, ‘Bad Days Better’, with 10 new tracks.

“Business With Jesus” offers a unique influence on the sub-genres of this “southern music”, the soulful, country, and genuineness of the culture that reflects the Opelika, Alabama native’s upbringing.

Hood has established himself as a skilled, sought-after songwriter in the industry, having penned tunes for Miranda Lambert, Brent Cobb, Muscadine Bloodline, Travis Tritt, and The Oak Ridge Boys.  In 2018, he released his critically acclaimed album, ‘Somewhere In Between’ in 2018, and now is back with highly anticipated new music, led by the release of “Business With Jesus”.

In a music world in which we, as listeners, fans, and critics, sometimes obsess over categorizing artists, songs, and albums within boundaries, Adam Hood has taken control of the narrative, placing himself within his own “southern music” category.  While many bands and artists nowadays refute any stigma associated with genres and subgenres, Hood embraces the unique avenue of his music as a songwriter and performer.

Adam has new dates scattered across the southeast and beyond throughout the spring and summer to support the release of new music, and more live appearances are expected to be announced soon.
