It feels like we have watched Gabby Barrett grow up before our eyes.  From the first time the country saw her on American Idol through the release of her full length LP ‘Goldmine’, we have seen the country starlet develop into one of the most popular acts in the genre.

Nominated for multiple CMA, ACM, CMT, and American Music Awards, named Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of 2020, and one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Music are just a few of her seemingly endless catalogue of accolades, in addition to her 3X platinum debut record and her 24-week number one single “I Hope” accompanied by over 930 million global streams.

From her infectious personality to her powerhouse vocals, this girl can do it all…and now she is beginning to add “accomplished singer-songwriter” to her repertoire, including her most recent single, “Pick Me Up”.

So pick me up, get me lost way out

Down a back two-lane little George Strait way

On up, get me outta my head

And out this town, and tell me no matter what

You’ll be by my side, everything gonna be alright

Make the world go black, how you do me like that?

Wanna climb up in your truck, just pick me up

This song will undoubtedly be another hit for Gabby, as it showcases her vocal range and flexibility, while touching home on a familiar topic but adding her own spice and flavor that only she can do.  And the song being co-written by Jon Nite and Ross Copperman gives it that final polish to push it over the top of the mainstream mountain and resonate with music fans of all ages.

Gabby is on fire right now, and thus virtually anything she releases at this point will turn to gold.  But that is not to take anything away from her latest single, as this is a well written, well delivered song and should be recognized as such, both in chart success and critics’ acclaim.
