Mackenzie Porter’s latest offering, “Pickup”, is a song about a lost love, intertwined with some bittersweet memory and a little jealousy.  As is the case with any relationship, choices are made and they render consequences, and “Pickup” is an upbeat anthem about taking a look in the past and wondering what might have been.

“Who’s beer bottle buzzin’ on that bench seat

Got you parking lot parking like you’re seventeen

Whose new perfume is fading mine out?

Who’s that pickup picking up now?”

The song was co-written by Will Bundy and Lydia Vaughan, and produced by Joey Moi, setting the stage for an irresistibly catchy sing-along track that showcases Porter’s confident vocal delivery.

“I can honestly say I’ve never been more excited to release a song,” says Porter. “The writer’s room had something magical that day and I hope you sing this at the top of your lungs about the person you miss the most”.

Mackenzie is one of the fastest rising new stars on the country music circuit, charting a monster hit on her collaboration with Dustin Lynch – “Thinking ‘Bout You”.  She is nominated for four awards at the upcoming CCMA Awards, including Entertainer Of The Year and Female Artist Of The Year.

Fans across the country can catch her on the road with Jordan Davis on his ‘Buy Dirt’ Tour through the end of the year before she’ll jump on the ‘Fancy Like’ Tour with Walker Hayes in 2022.
