Hannah Bell came to Music City (via Texas) four years ago, and she made an immediate impact with her music; growing her industry connections substantially and discovering who she is as a songwriter and artist with each new song she penned and performed.

She gave us a great taste of what she currently has in the works with the release of “Get Rid Of It” earlier this year - a mid-tempo song that carried a country pop vibe to it that’s built for modern country radio.

Bell now returns with her latest single “The Butterfly Song.” Co-written with Olivia Frances, “The Butterfly Song” takes all the distinctive aspects of what makes Bell’s mature vocals so powerful and allows them to pull you into the floatier softness of the song while she wraps you into the strong message of the lyrics.

In a world where so many people easily lose themselves in the things that can be very temporary – jobs, relationships, etc. – Bell gives us lines such as, “You’re trying to climb that ladder, changing who you are and faking laughter,” and “That’s not the kind of girl your mama raised, now you’re a pretty little liar…Hurting hearts, setting fires.”

However, Bell also uses each of the verses to allude to the hurt that these changes can cause -presumably to her as the friend they turned away from as they changed - when she sings about being left behind and wishing the old you had stayed. All of this is designed, though, to punch the power of the chorus home when she boldly asks, “Butterfly don’t your wings get tired, up in the air for so long,” before flipping the script to a stern warning when she sings, “And don’t forget who had your back if you turn around and there’s no one left.”

The Butterfly Song” is a three minute and fifty-seven second showcase of a young, new artist developing the signature the qualities of her vocals and honing in on her pop infused country sound as she opens up her next chapter, while also elevating everything to the next level to further help her stand out amongst the pack of newcomers.
