RANDALL KING -Hang Of Hangin' On - Warner Music Nashville

West Texas native and Warner Music Nashville recording artist Randall King recently announced that his sophomore album, ‘Into The Neon’, will be released on January 26, 2024.  The highly anticipated collection, featuring 18 tracks, will include a brand-new cut that will croon and swoon its way into listeners’ hearts who have love on the mind.  “Hang Of Hangin’ On” is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now.

A slow, waning guitar intro is quickly joined by Randall’s strong, deep, soulful delivery.  The stripped down first verse picks up slightly into the chorus, with the melodic harmonies between he and his backup singers flowing along a steady drum progression.  This is a perfect song to be showcased on the dance floor of a honky-tonk on a Saturday night.

Written by Brett Sheroky and Brice Long, “Hang Of Hangin’ On” is a classic Texas country song to its core, with the musical arrangement and the lyrical content immediately appealing to King from the onset.

“Think I’m getting the hang of hangin’ all this music out there,” King said.  “I sure loved this song from the first time I heard it.  Go spin your lady to this one y’all!”

For those fans pining for an ode to the times of traditional country in today’s new music spectrum, King and his new tune represent a breath of fresh air.  This is an unapologetic true country classic sound, resurrected from the 1990’s….and we are here to welcome it with open arms.

“All this peace I’ve come to know

It’s easy in my soul to know

This gentle on my mind

I think I’ve finally got a feel

For the way it’s supposed to feel

When it feels right”

Ever since the release of his first album, ‘Old Dirt Road’, as part of Randall King Band, the Texas native has never waned from his fandom and musicianship as a traditional country artist.  His 2022 studio album, ‘Shot Glass’, served as a formal introduction to the wider country music world, and the overwhelmingly positive response to the music proved that there is a huge audience that loves that sound from years ago.

With the homegrown hayseed hereditary traits of George Strait and Keith Whitley along with the modernized elements from the likes of Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan, Randall King has created a sound that is representative of a country music lifetime spanning nearly 30 years.  “Hang Of Hangin’ On” is the latest installment in an ever-building impressive music catalogue from a talented singer-songwriter.
