CHELSEA BERMAN - Break Up Again - Independent Release

Before she was even ten years old, Australia’s Chelsea Berman had the dream of becoming a successful recording artist.  Flash forward to current times, and the 25-year-old has been making waves in her native country as well as here in the United States with a growing catalogue of cleverly-crafted tunes, highlighted by relatable lyrics, gifted vocals, and catchy melodies.

The talented songstress’s latest release, “Break Up Again”, is a tale of the internal turmoil of emotions we experience when beginning a new relationship.  Feelings of excitement, hope, and optimism combat with worry, fear, and skepticism to paint a very real picture of what is happening in our hearts and our minds as we embark on a journey with someone new.

“This song is for anyone who has been scared of opening their heart to someone new!”, Chelsea shared.  “Huge thanks to Jake Davey for writing this with me on a lil hungover day in Nashville”.

The fresh, upbeat track straddles the line of pop and country, emphatically showcasing Chelsea’s impressive vocal range, subdued through the verses and explosive in the chorus.

Co-written by Berman along with Jake Davey, “Break Up Again” is a straightforward modern country account of a common theme, expressed through literal lyrics and smooth, clean vocals.

“Maybe this will go my way

And he just might be the one

Showing up like he’s here to stay

Want it all, don’t get me wrong

Guess I’m just jaded but I can’t pretend

That this isn’t dangerous

I don’t wanna break up again”

“Break Up Again” follows “Going There”, released earlier this year, representing her crossover into pop, as well as “Where Does That Leave Me?”, eclipsing 250,000 streams across platforms.

With the look and sound of a budding star on display, Chelsea continues to gain notoriety and well-deserved respect as a singer and songwriter in both her native Australia as well as in Music City and beyond.  Since releasing her debut EP, ‘Better Than Ever’, in 2018, she has clearly found her niche within the industry as an honest songwriter who has honed in on her audience.  Her ability to write simple yet sophisticated, down-to-earth yet wide-ranged lyrical anecdotes alongside catchy melodies has added her to the list of impressive young talents on the crossover country music scene.
