Nashville, TN native ERNEST is garnering attention for his latest single, “American Rust”, out June 4th via Big Loud Records.  This is one of those feel good, throwback “trip down memory lane” tunes that takes the listener back to simpler times, with the key sentiment that things keep on getting better with time.  It’s a familiar yet unique take on life growing up in Tennessee.  The subject matter, along with the gentle melody immediately connect with the listener.

“American Rust” is the latest chapter in a multi-faceted career thus far for ERNEST.  Regarded as one of the most sought-after co-writers on Music Row, he has penned hits for Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, Morgan Wallen, and Chris Lane.  He also hosts “Just Being ERNEST”, a star-studded podcast featuring some of the biggest names in country music.

The small-town love and life tribute “American Rust” is written by ERNEST, along with Rodney Clawson and Jordan Reynolds, and produced by Joey Moi.  The song follows 2020’s “Cheers” and is fresh off “Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90’s”, his fourth #1 hit single as a songwriter, recorded by Hunt.

Like many others in the industry, ERNEST is hitting the road this summer for a string of dates, including headlining gigs as well as appearances at festivals across the country.
